Andrew Bynum Injury Update

Andrew Bynum left the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Warriors after spraining his left ankle. He was seen limping out of the stadium but was not on crutches. On Monday, he got an x-ray that came back negative. The injury was not serious enough for an MRI. He then received treatment from Lakers trainer Gary Vitti including electro-stimulation, ice and manual therapy. He is listed as day to day. It is still uncertain whether he will start against the Nets on Tuesday. Even if he is ready to go, the Lakers may rest him considering the level of competition they will be facing.
Bynum says that he will play and the injury will not cause him to miss any games. Even joking that his knees may be bad but him ankles are fine. Although Bynum may want to play, we will have to see what Mike Brown's decision will be. As of late Brown has been trying to put his foot down and show he is in charge, especially with Andrew. The final decision may come around game time tomorrow.
