No Kobe, No Problem

Ok they had a small problem but hey they won. The Lakers were able to defeat the New Orleans Hornets 93-91 without leading scorer Kobe Bryant. The Lakers were down 8 points with six minutes to go when they began to make their run. The teams traded baskets back and forth before the Lakers clamped on the defense. In the final minutes the Lakers went on a 7-0 run to tie the game. Metta World Peace hit a three pointer to take the lead. Ramon Session then added another three to push the lead to six. The Hornets played the foul/free throw game and were able to cut into the lead but not overcome it. Pau Gasol had a game high 25 point and added 9 rebounds. Andrew Bynum put in 18 and 11 and Ramon Sessions added 17 points 6 assists and 6 rebounds. The Lakers will now head to San Antonio to take on the Spurs on Wednesday night. This is the first time they have played the conference leading Spurs this season. We will have to wait on more updates on the status of Kobe Bryant for that game. Spin: Dear Hornets Home Announcer, Hornets and bees are different insects. They are similar but not the same. Refering to the New Orleans Hornets as the "Bees" over and over is not creative. Its just stupid. From now on please refrain from doing so. Thank you, Staff at DHD INC
