Kobe on Pau: "If they want to get rid of him, have to get rid of me first."

For the third or fourth time this summer, Kobe Bryant has come to the defense of his power forward. Although there has been rocky parts to their relationship, it looks like Bryant is now 100% on board with Gasol staying as his teammate.

Earlier this summer, Kobe told the press that "as long as I am here, he will be here" when asked about how he felt about Gasol trade possibilities. Now Bryant has taken those comments even further, telling the press if the Lakers want to trade Gasol they have to trade him first.

This is a complete 180 turn around by Kobe, who in the past has called Gasol out for his lack of toughness and heart. Why the turn around? I'm sure the Steve Nash addition has something to do with it. The Pick and roll with Nash and Gasol could turn out to be one of the best in the league.
