Mitch Did It Again? Robert Upshaw Could Be The Steal of Lakers 2015 "Draft"

The Lakers bought the rights to second round pick Jordan Clarkson last year, which turned into a steal after he went on to make NBA All-Rookie 1st team.

Robert Upshaw could turn out to be the steal of the 2015 "draft" for the Lakers. After getting kicked out of two college programs(for smoking weed apparently), the 258 lbs 7 footer with a 7.5 foot wingspan went undrafted.

The Lakers have signed him to their Summer League team and he will get a chance to make the big team roster.

Off the court issues aside, Upshaw has the size and ability to turn out to be a real gem for the Lakers going forward. In only 24 minutes a game last year, Upshaw averaged an amazing 4.5 blocks a game. He also added 10.9 points and 8.8 rebounds. He was dismissed from the team after playing in 19 games.

Robert Upshaw will be given the chance to right his past "wrongs" and show that he is mentally ready for the big stage starting Friday, July 10th when he joins D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle (hopefully), Larry Nance Jr., Anthony Brown and the rest of the Lakers' Summer League roster. For now check out his scouting video and some of his highlights.

Upshaw + time > Cauley-Stein and possibly even Towns
